Work day at Fordham Bedford Garden with New York Cares and Troutman Sanders

We had another great work day with New York Cares, this time with Troutman Sanders at Fordham Bedford Lotbusters Garden in the Bronx.  We were also joined by our partners, Bronx Green-Up.

The group worked on several projects including:

  • breaking down and cleaning up lots of debris from the garden, including scrap wood from an old gazebo
  • spreading wood chips on paths and between garden beds
  • deconstructing an old bed and digging out the soil for another area
  • clearing out rubble from the old gazebo foundation and leveling out the area for some new garden beds

Thanks for all the great work, and keep checking back to see updates about the construction of the new shade structure that will be happening over the next month!
